for some units yeah, limit bursts like med cosmo plune or ayaka healing is dope. but for thancred, he's like ramza, limit burst will be useful in certain situations only

limit breaks are key to high end play though. if you want to go far in raids a good limit break would definite make him better. the 2nd master ability doesnt make up for a lack of limit break cause gilgamesh is 2X cost AND HAS a limitbreak and it slows which if you stack with steal time youll be chaining for days, especially with the slash resist down.

so compared to ruin sterne and gilgamesh thancred truly does pale in comparison. sure he has better stats than a regular UR but for double cost and no limit break?

These are not even the same kind of characters. Gil is a mostly squishy support at this point. Ruin Sterne is a damage-focused bruiser.

Thancred is a bruiser as well, with high HP and a resist bubble to help with tankiness.

Earlier arguments about raids and slow mechanics are kind of irrelevant imo. Do you like light units? Do you like this character? Is there room in your team? Done.

Yes, buff could fail if your faith is under 50

yes... his Aurora proc chance is related to his and target faith.
Aurora proc formula is pretty simple (Caster Faith + Target Faith)

He isn't worth it. His shards costs 2x that of any other URs (save for Gilgamesh), plus he isn't all that great. He's probably one of those units where if you get lucky with the event tickets summon then, great. If not, he probably isn't worth a single visore.

i got him by 8 tickets i opened out of 15 tickets i got from EX quest then another 10 shards on the remaining 7 tickets. Then in the next 2 days i got him again by opening 8 tickets 40 shards with rainbow sphere isn't it amazing haha got him LB 3 in just 3 days.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this version of Thancred(Shadowbringers) can't use magic. Why did they give him Red Mage as a job?

Hi, how should we use faith with thancred, lower for better tanking? Or does it help to raise it? (i see the gunblade has attack and magic and he has mixed offensive stats)

Keep it lower unless you plan to use the magic evade reaction ability. The proc rate on that goes off of faith. Used together with the red mage passive to lower magic damage, he can be an alright magic tank.
