Have you looked at her skills? She is not a spell flinger. She lacks range on all her spells and skills, Holy and lol Taunting Spell are her only range 4+ abilities.
That simple fact that you just pointed out shows that it is in fact like comparing apples to oranges, they are both mages/fruits but other than dealing magical damage they seem different.
