maybe this list will be better if the VCs are sorted or grouped by the element party ability, because its quite an important information at this point of the game

Fenrir VC and Esper on Gilgamesh works very well and gets rid of his main weakness. Besides, his main attack can easily reach damage cap.

No, red abilities mean that only specific element units will receive those bonuses. The ones that activate at max level will say "Effect + 0" until you hit 99
