Game breaking bug?

While trying to do guild quest one, the character explains the auto formation feature but when it get's to companions my screen dims and I am locked out of interacting with anything on screen forcing me to shut it down. Is there a fix?

It dims because it wants you to click on something specific. try clicking around every element on the screen to see if you proceed.
