"Small" damage... I hope survivability gets a focus at some point. When "small" is one hit kills.

Sterne has one of the highest attacks in the game, and if you now how to build characters correctly, you can one shot with other characters (s) damage skills as well, combined with correct cards and espers its easy.

Not really a good thing. If Sterne killed a thief/hybrid mage or red mage/archer in a (L) damage move, sure. Not even just talking about Sterne, but that level of damage output at extreme range, low ap cost....the vision cards do add to the problems. Really any survivability.

Dragoon (HP up) support: +15% hp
vs.
Self-Sacrifice: +60% damage

Golem VC: +25% HP
Ifrit VD: +50% Damage

so on...

I don't think one shots on PVP content should at all be the aim. For one it makes supports and healer crap. You end up with a glass cannon meta and one leaning towards guns.

Then the inherent problem of not moving with guns bringing a faster act time than moving and attacking and their higher than average agility. We'll be drowning in gunners and ninjas forever.

God, it's going to get worse too. Maxed out espers with +Slash and +Man Eater are going to way overtake any kind of defense as well.

Much easier to built attack into a character than defenses against the unknown. Even if you meta a buncha slash defense, you'll get ripped apart by the gunner teams. It's like a glass cannon arms race with no brake.

That's pvp in a nutshell. Being able to 🔥 your enemy fast is the key. But on jp there would be rounds on maps that makes classes take disadvantages. For example cabbage recent vid on yt where missiles are nerf on the particular map.

Thanks for replying and I understand it's the key. I just think it's too one dimensional and not good for pvp content. You can only do a few auto duels a day and it sucks they are so fast with no drama or back an forth. I've never seen a healer or buffer perform at all in those. I'd love more options to build tanky and passives giving 15% hp on a dragoon are more of a trap than anything.
