yeah but this means given the timeframe of the hard quests, you already spent around thousands of visiore just to get him to this level, which is I don't wanna use just to max a character

Literally every character takes either thousands of visiore to max, or months and months of time.

Nah you can do it sooner than that if you buy his shard every chance you get using the free visiore that you get. Within 1month, I got him to level 50 already, plus I am close to another limitbreak. Also you need to remember you can get his shards during Chocobo runs and of course if you get lucky to roll him again while summoning, you can get some shards there too.

However, once you learn quicken and reach his 2nd mastery, he became too OP for your own good. In altema, he and Ayaka are the only that available from the beginning pool that reach SS rank currently

It is not recommended to chase him unless you got him by changes, however. Considering his pull rate, you cant expect to pull him that much
