Why does this attack seem to do so much damage and cut through defenses that most other attacks don't? It just seems like it should be another Small, Slashing type attack just at a distance, but it seems like when I see other Cid's in games they hit way harder than other slashers with this skill.

The true beauty of this skill lies at it's max capacity. It lowers the target's defense by 25 points and on top of this, the skill have a multiplier of 121%. The damage will stack if you have a few Oldmandeau on the field using the skill back to back.

I think it's cheating that it lowers defense before the damage lands. Way too potent.

"Small Dmg"

it has more range than any cast, instant attack, low AP and OS most of the magic guys. It's ridiculous.
