Can I bring more than one Unit into multiplayer matches?

I find it weird that in the multiplayer menu you can edit your formation in duos or quads but you cant do any missions that allow you to send two or more units. So far I have only seen missions that allow 4 players but each only controls one unit, would be nice if we can edit the room for example 2 players 2 units each.
