It's giving me the option to use these in place of the rainbow fragment of thought.

Not sure which to use. Are azure-imbued fragments more valuable than the rainbow fragements?

This answer has changed now that the imbued fragments are required for transcendence

i cant select it for MR unit awaken it so frustrate

You should use Azure over Rainbow when you can, which is only on MR units, they are the equivalent of Azure spheres vs Rainbow spheres.
They are rare atm but they should be more common down the line.
