Esper invocation magic woth leveling?

Seriously everyone would just unlock stats / resistance upgrades on Esper skill build. Nobody give a damn on upgrading invocation spell level... Is there any Esper worth upgrading it's invocation spell and why?

When you max an esper you have like 29 points left so you might as well over 3% more damage against aquatics or avians, in a few months we'll have a second awakening tier tho
