Ibara is a limited-time unit that's part of the Global original FFBE units. She's a Demon-type unit that takes advantage of humans and enemies with lowered lightning resist for a high nuking or 1-shot potential, plus a slight advantage against mages through base resistances and counter ability. However, she only starts with half AP (unlike other mages), and also lacks a barrier break and a guaranteed hit ability, which can potentially be an issue against certain enemies.
Her sub job options gives her some flexibility so she doesn't rely on just magic attacks. Bladesoul comes with Slash attacks that scales with MAG and provides some slight utility, while Paladin is mostly for Sentinel and Saintly Wall to help her survive.
