Press & hold where it says "Normal Attack" on her "Ability Set" menu.
The two symbols you see there show you that her Regular Attack is [Physical / Strike].
You can do this to check any ability type too.
So her [Strike] Abilities are
Limit Burst: Radiant Twinstrike
Cleric: Pronged Staff
Monk: Pummel, Terra Slash, & Surge Strike

Wand/club is strike attack type. So yeah.she can be monk while wielding staff/wand/club/mace whatever....

I mean i unlock the monk passive called “Fist adept” so this passive can be activated only attack by striking but when my Macherie attacks, She use her wand to attack not striking by bare-hand even i removed her weapon be4 i entered the battle scene.
