Overview

Macherie is a light support unit, and only one of a few units with the Cleric as the main job. Her main job's skills mostly focuses around removing and preventing debuffs / status effects. Her stats are a mix of both ATK and MAG, with the option of being able to focus on one of them through the passive or sub job, but neither are amazing. She also has negative attack type resistances to Slash, Pierce, and Missile, which can be an issue since they are somewhat common in general.

Her EX upgrade kind of puts her stats to be somewhat closer to newer and more relevant units, and the new skills makes her noticeably more tanky, being able to gain up to 30 SPR and DEF through her skills alone. However, she doesn't really have any use for those defensive stats since she doesn't have any hate generating skill, and likely won't be played as a frontliner.

Im not sure but I read a thread that she'll be having an enhanced master ability. Her limit burst will also become magic based.

You guys are true noobs! Macherie is op and I’m gonna tell u why. First off no one stacks res for monk and magic. Second of all she has auto cure and can stack major SRR and Def. When she uses her special she is untouchable for 1 turn. My macherie be having like 70 spr and 70 def that means Shes 70% res to all hits before res and debuffs kick in

I have been a Macherie user since the beginning and honestly she might lack alot but she carried me through alot of pvp when I had no healers which made me use her better but over all shes not the worst and for from it I got her EX and ran her in class match Yuna, Sakura, Macherie and have yet to lose

If you have macherie lying around, and also own rain, I definitely recommend getting her TMR, it's an excellent choice for rain on brutal pve/class match

Isn't bad, just master of none. Like you won't send her to the frontline as you have better choices, not high enough magic damage even compare to MR mages. I'd use Fina or Grace for healer if I need one, cheaper to lv up.

Yes. Her stats are all low, her main job is Cleric which is terrible since it has no good skills for general play and uses a Mace instead of a rod making equipment a pain. Her LB is attack based so it does pitiful damage and the special boost it gives only lasts 1 turn so it's not even good for utility. Her Mastery and Percent boost board option boost her worst stats and not even enough to matter.

... Her subjobs also are trash. Monk uses her terrible ATK stat and her Black Mage doesn't even get flare. She's not even a Tanky mage since her resistances are all trash too. She can barely heal with her trash job and stats, she can barely take damage, and she can barely do damage. She is worthless.

She'd be useful if her Monk was replaced by Spellblade. She's too generalist to be good at anything. The only way hybrids can be useful is if they're high in either ATK or MAG and have an abilit-y/ies that allows them to do damage in the other damage type based on that stat, allowing them to adapt to resistant enemies. See Sakura's limit burst.
