Leviathan Raid Boss Event

Demon Chimera VC is obtainable after defeating Demon Chimera (the rare raid) lvl 5.

Slash attackers are a common attack type, so there are quite a lot of options to choose from, but there are certain units that can provide more than just being a hard hitter. Some of the cost 100 units have slash attack resistance down, which can really help increase your team's damage to make each run a lot faster. Having 1 of these units means that you can make a raid team using just 1 of them and other same element slash attackers. Putting all 3 cost 100 units won't make the team better.

• Duane and Dark slash team with someone like Sterne (Knight of Ruin), Vinera Fennes, and/or Shadowlynx can hit the hardest, making them potentially the fastest team to run Leviathan down. With 2 or 3 strong Dark units, you can use the rest of the unit slots to bring a raid bonus unit.
  
  
• If you have Gilgamesh and Velric, then you already have a good 2 unit pairing for this raid. Gilgamesh has slash attack resist down to help increase slash team's damage, while Velric is in the "large" raid bonus and hits pretty hard. Add Lasswell/Auron for more damage, or just other raid bonus units.
  
  
• King Mont and fire units/teams will deal 10% less and take 10% more damage, which is a thing to consider, but definitely not "unusable". The slash resist reduction from King Mont is valuable enough to consider bringing him to your team if you don't have any others.

If you happen to summon one of the current Large raid bonus, you can make some 2 unit pair(s). They might not hit as hard as a focused Dark slash team, but the raid reward bonus is worth it. Both Light and Lightning teams also have decent support in terms of esper and VC to be pretty effective.

Additionally, there are aquatic killers on Glacial and Tetra Sylphid esper boards, and Greetings from Afar VC too.

Other support damage dealers that can help with the fight if you're struggling.

• Creysse has gunner main job that can inflict blind, and her sniper sub job can inflict paralyze.
• Shadowlynx at EX 120 has increased chance to inflict blind, and one of her EX abilities lowers enemy single target resistance.
• Tidus can reduce enemy CT and DEF and also increase the team's AGI.

The team that you use for Leviathan will work just as well for Demon Chimera, especially since it also uses magic attacks. It's only worth changing to a different team if you aren't using any bonus units when going against Leviathan, but you have a bonus unit(s) that's good against Demon Chimera.

Sakura is in the medium raid bonus, then fill the rest with someone like Elsirelle, Yuna, or Kilphe (Summer). Diabolos, Typhon, and 2 Headed Dragon are other espers that have effective killers against Demon Chimera.
